St Francis Architecture #3

A new trend has emerged in recent years to stick with the thatch, but move away from the traditional rounded sculpted form, and towards a more modern angular look.

I think the builder achieved your stated goals. This looks as modern as modern gets.

anonymous, in St Francis bay, either thatch or black tiles (including slate) are a requirement, but in Cape St Francis there are no restrictions on style, and it really is a free for all, from scabby fisherman's cottages, to huge modern mansions, in a variety of styles!

My kind of architecture. I should show this to the builders over here. They make wooden boxes for people to live in these days!

This IS a lovely house... we stayed in it during our December holidays a few years back. The interior decorating was very different to the mod architecture and style of the house, It was decorated with eclectic 5o's style furniture and ornaments..... I think the owner was an antique dealer in PE. It made for an unusual mix of mod and 50's.
